Croatia: 1,093 GWh of electricity produced in February21.May 2019.
According to short-term indicators of energy statistics published by Croatian Bureau of Statistics, net electricity production in Croatia in February 2019 amounted to 1,093 GWh, which is 19.2 % less compared to February last year, when the production amounted to 1,353 GWh.
During February, 551 GWh of electricity or 50.4 % was produced in hydropower plants, 335 GWh or 30.6 % was produced in thermal power plants, while wind farms produced 146 GWh or 13.4 % of total produced electricity. During this period, Croatia imported 846 GWh of electricity, which is 20 % less compared to last February (1,059 GWh), while electricity exports stood at 454 GWh, 53.6 % less compared to 847 GWh in the same month last year.
Regarding hydrocarbon production, Croatia produced 91 million cubic meters of natural gas in February 2019, which is 16.5 % less than in the same month last year. Natural gas imports stood at 145 million cubic meters, 7 % less than in February 2018. Crude oil production stood at 52,000 tons, approximately the same as in February last year. Production of petroleum products stood at 72,000 tons in February 2019, slightly higher com-pared to the same month last year.
