Croatia: 924 GWh of electricity produced in May15.Aug 2018.
According to short-term indicators of energy statistics published by Croatian Bureau of Statistics, net electricity production in Croatia in May 2018 amounted to 924 GWh, which is 26.9 % more than in the same month last year, when the production amounted to 728 GWh.
During May, 658 GWh of electricity or 71.2 % was produced in hydropower plants, 77 GWh or 8.3 % was produced in thermal power plants, while wind farms produced 133 GWh or 14.4 % of total produced electricity. During this period, Croatia imported 1,011 GWh of electricity, which is 7.4 % less compared to last May, while electricity exports stood at 466 GWh, which is 15 % more compared to the amount exported in the same month last year (405 GWh).
Regarding hydrocarbons production, Croatia produced 112 million cubic meters of natural gas in May 2018, which is 15.2 % less than in the same month last year. Natural gas imports stood at 95 million cubic meters, 15.9 % less than in May 2017. Crude oil production stood at 58,000 tons, slightly less than in May last year, while crude oil imports stood at 124,000 tons. Production of petroleum products stood at 423,000 tons in May 2018, which is 3 % lower compared to May 2017.
